Workshop on Metamaterial Modelling

Workshop on Metamaterial Modelling under TETRA COST Action Successfully Concluded

The "Workshop on Metamaterial Modelling" held in Cappadocia within the scope of COST Action CA23125-TETRA has been successfully concluded. The event brought together a diverse group of researchers, from doctoral students to senior academics, fostering a multidisciplinary environment for sharing the latest advancements and innovative ideas in the field..

The workshop was structured around four main sessions that addressed critical topics, including biomedical imaging, mathematical modeling, and novel technologies for cancer diagnosis. These sessions were closely aligned with the primary objectives of the TETRA project, which focus on optimizing methodologies for the experimental imaging of cancerous tissues, modeling highly disordered anisotropic structures, and utilizing these models for cancer detection.

Throughout the event, several distinguished researchers delivered insightful presentations. Notable contributions included:

"Metamaterials: A Roadmap from the Perspectives of the Effective Properties and Applications" by Prof. Tatjana Gric (VILNIUS TECH)

"Challenge of Metamaterial Formalism to Support Breath-analysis" by Prof. Kiran Maiti (Max Planck Institute of Quantum Optics)

"Numerical Modelling of Optical Properties of Multicomponent Materials Subjected to Laser Action" by Prof. Nadezhda Bulgakova (FZU - Institute of Physics of the Czech Academy of Sciences)

"Metamaterial formalism meets Biophotonics - Requirements for synergistic advances" by Prof. Adrian Ruehm and Ronald Sroka (LFL in LIFE at Hospital of LMU-Munich)

"Chaotic Metamaterials" by Prof. Dr. Mehmet Bakir (Yozgat Bozok University)

With the aim of fostering interdisciplinary collaboration, the workshop enabled productive discussions among the participating working groups.
