TETRA COST Action Strengthens Biomedical Networks at the 3rd Workshop in Badalona
BADALONA, SPAIN – Continuing its mission to revolutionize cancer recognition through advanced imaging, the TETRA COST Action (CA23125) recently concluded its 3rd Workshop: "New Frontiers in Medical Imaging: From Research to Bedside." The event took place on February 5–6, 2026, at the Badalona Convention Center (BCIN).
From Theory to Clinical Practice The workshop served as a critical platform for bridging the gap between laboratory research and real world clinical applications. Following a competitive call for participation, the scientific committee selected the most impactful abstracts for oral presentations. These sessions showcased groundbreaking research in metamaterial based sensing and imaging, emphasizing their potential for bedside diagnostics.
Global Collaboration and Networking The two day event provided significant networking opportunities for the TETRA community. Attendees benefited from the hospitality of Badalona, with accommodations at the Hotel Badalona Tower and Miramar, and collaborative discussions continuing at local venues.
By facilitating these high level exchanges, the TETRA Action continues to foster the synergy required to bring innovative imaging tools to the forefront of modern medicine.
